DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with workforce development and career training for populations like the District's Customers.
- Provide excellent coaching, facilitation, and teaching skills.
- Prepare Customers for employment through classroom instruction. By creatively mixing the training topics and modes of delivery, the Employment Specialist shall be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment whereby Customers continue to remain motivated throughout the employment preparation process.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in adult learning, workforce development, career training or other employment related field.
- Prior experience working with populations like the District's Customers.
- Proficient at facilitation and coaching.
- Demonstrated experience in effective communication.
- Computer literate; able to create stimulating learning environments and keep Customers engaged.
- Sound understanding of key activities that Customers must complete to successfully gain and retain employment.
Mon. - Fri. 8:30am - 5pm
